Park Management Bureau Showcases AI & Net-Zero Transformation Achievements

Summary

Awards recognize outstanding industry-academia collaboration teams, showcase innovative guidance cases, and highlight corporate transformation capabilities and forward-looking vision.

To demonstrate the results of park transformations and attract more companies to adopt dual-axis transformation strategies, the Industrial Parks Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs, held the "AI Deployment in Parks, Co-creating a Sustainable Future" joint results presentation and award ceremony on the 21st. The event recognized top-performing guidance units with the "Synergy Excellence Team" and "Outstanding Promoter" awards, inviting assisted companies to share their experiences. Vice President Weng Deng-Fu of the Industrial Park Enterprises Association and chairpersons of various associations attended to show support, highlighting the effectiveness of the park guidance programs.

Director Yang Zhi-Ching stated that park companies are currently facing challenges such as labor shortages, tariffs, and supply chain restructuring. To help companies respond to external operational impacts, the park has implemented a series of support measures, including impact surveys, corporate health diagnostics, customized guidance, and linking external resources. This year, more than 2,000 factory visits were conducted with the support of academic and research resources, assisting over 40 companies in securing more than NT$200 million in R&D grants, generating an initial NT$500 million in new investments and up to NT$1.2 billion in derivative output, demonstrating remarkable results.

The "One University, One Park" program has been implemented for several years, fostering long-term partnerships between schools and park companies. To acknowledge exemplary schools that actively dedicate resources, awards were given to top-performing guidance schools and teams this year, encouraging more schools to participate in industry-academia collaboration projects within the parks.

The "Synergy Excellence Team" awardees include: National Formosa University, Cheng Shiu University (two awards), Lunghwa University of Science and Technology, National Taipei University of Technology, National Chin-Yi University of Technology, and National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology. The "Outstanding Promoter" awards went to: National Taipei University of Technology, National Chin-Yi University of Technology, National Formosa University (two awards), and Cheng Shiu University of Technology.

Representative case studies were also showcased, such as the cross-park collaboration between JiaGang Precision and Precision Information, which secured NT$16 million in funding through the Industrial Development Bureau program. They implemented AI in supply chain management, smart manufacturing, and decision-making systems, achieving digital upgrades from the factory floor to management levels, demonstrating proactive corporate transformation capabilities and forward-looking vision.

The Park Administration stated that future development will continue to integrate three axes: intelligence, low-carbon, and sustainability. Through cross-domain integrated services, energy-saving technology promotion, AI guidance, and industry cluster support, more companies will be assisted in seizing net-zero transformation opportunities, building the next-generation industrial competitiveness of Taiwan.
