To celebrate the 45th anniversary of National Formosa University, artist Lin Han-Wei held a solo exhibition titled "Noble by Nature," presenting blessings for the university. The opening ceremony was held on Friday, November 21. The exhibition features 29 works, focusing on large felines such as tigers and snow leopards, combining 2D and 3D forms to invite viewers to explore their inner selves and re-examine the connection between humans and nature.

NFU President Chang Hsin-Liang stated, “Universities should cultivate professionals who are not just scientific experts, but well-rounded individuals with a sense of humanity, art, and holistic development.” He emphasized that education serves not just the economy, but also the pursuit of a fulfilling and meaningful life for individuals and society. He thanked Lin Han-Wei for exhibiting at the university and expressed hope that students would gain nourishment and build their humanistic foundation through the exhibition.

Lin Han-Wei specializes in blending colored ink with gouache, seal carving, and ceramic media. Trained in the Lingnan School of Painting, his works integrate Eastern and Western artistic concepts. Particularly passionate about painting felines, especially tigers, Lin regards them as the most beautiful species—combining strength and grace—and hopes his works raise public awareness of wildlife conservation and environmental protection.

In the exhibition "Noble by Nature," the term "Noble" refers not only to external beauty but also to inner dignity and spirit, while "by Nature" emphasizes following and respecting the natural order. Through the powerful postures and deep gazes of the big cats, the works convey the force of nature and resilience of life, reflecting the artist’s long-term observation of the natural world and his reverence for creation and ecological care.

A highlight of the exhibition is Lin’s self-created character IP "Dreamer & Pola," symbolized by a flying balloon, representing faith, love, courage, and dreams, as well as companionship, support, and shared growth. "Noble by Nature" runs from now until Friday, December 19, at the Exhibition Hall of the Second Campus, Building 3, at NFU. Visitors are warmly welcome to attend.
