Direct Admission to Doctoral Degree Programs
In accordance with the "Guidelines for Direct Admission to Doctoral Degree Programs" at NFU, the following information is provided for applicants and relevant units:
1. Applicable Regulations
This process is conducted in accordance with NFU's official guidelines for direct admission to doctoral degree programs.
2. Application Submission
Applicants for direct admission must submit the completed application form and all supporting documents to the respective department office by early October of the first semester of each academic year. These documents will be reviewed for subsequent processing.
3. Admission and Registration
Students approved for direct admission will be considered first-year doctoral students at NFU. Their course of study shall comply with University regulations and the specific requirements of their college, department, or institute. Admitted students must complete registration within the prescribed period. Failure to register on time will be considered a voluntary withdrawal, and late registration will not be permitted under any circumstances.
4. Available Quotas for 2025 Academic Year
- College of Engineering – Smart Industrial Technology R&D Doctoral Program: 4 positions
- Department of Power Mechanical Engineering – Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering Doctoral Program: 0 positions
- Department of Photonics Engineering – Photonics and Materials Technology Doctoral Program, Group A: 2 positions
- Department of Photonics Engineering – Photonics and Materials Technology Doctoral Program, Group B: 1 position
5. Review and Submission Deadline
All relevant units are requested to complete the review process by Friday, October 31, 2025. The compiled documents should be submitted to the Office of Academic Affairs for final approval and to facilitate the announcement of admitted candidates.
